Seishin Budo Dojo UK

Officially Registered Member of The Dai Nippon Butoku Kai International Division.

Based in East Grinstead on the East Sussex, West Sussex Border Seishin offers training in the art of Iaido which is based on the drawing and using of the Japanese or samurai sword. We train on Tuesday nights at Imberhorne School starting at 7.30 to 9.15. Due to the nature of Iaido it is ideally suited to men and women in any state of fitness.

At Seishin we practice the traditional art of Muso Shinden Ryu Iaido.

Iaido can be described as the art of the Japanese Sword and is a non-combative martial art that involves no direct physical contact or combat with other individuals. It is suitable for both men and women.

There are many styles of Iaido, most of which date back hundreds of years. The style taught here at Seishin is known as Muso Shinden Ryu.

The Iaido practiced and taught at Seishin is traditional and not `fabricated or invented` as with some dojo’s.

We meet in East Grinstead if you are interested in visiting us please contact Hanshi Bruce Scrivens on 07872 449 093.
